In the post -revolutionary years of the formation of a new ideological system in the work of Yuon, a turning point came when he tried to find tune of the time of themes. So, in the second half of the 1920s and early 1930s, the artist addresses a specific genre form, a kind of “plot portrait”, through which he captures the typical heroes of his time, Komsomol members, physical education, paratroopers, that is, new Soviet youth. He also turns to the theme of the new Russian village, choosing the type of village girls, marefly, blush, demonstrating the cult of physical and moral health. Most likely, he met a lot of such girls in Ligachev near Moscow, who called his “aesthetic refuge” and where since 1908 he firmly settled in his workshop.
