The artist is self -wrapping
According to the fair statement of contemporaries, Self -praise was the nature of the universal. He successfully worked in various artistic systems-from post-kubism to romantic realism, experienced the fruitful influence of Russian and world artistic traditions, while maintaining the identity of handwriting and a sense of modernity, especially in the 1920-1930s. His sociality was not a conjuncture, but reflected a sincere idea of the ideals of his time, embodied, in particular, in women workers, who, according to Samokhvalov, in the “halo of romance”. In the “Young Worker” there is a kind of combination of eternal female, sublime spiritual, secret with ascetic severity and tension. The portrait is striking in composite clarity, the nobility of color relations, a characteristic “fresco” texture. It was no coincidence that Samokhvalov recalled the special influence of ancient Russian traditions on his work at that time… (A. D.).
